SCOPE

Technology evolution brought by the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data analytics and mobile/social media are increasingly changing the organizational approach of “doing things”, promoting the emergence of new and innovative business models, towards enhancing customer experiences as well as to drive new efficiencies. Digital technologies offer new possibilities for organizational growth, specially by deploying an approach more focused on productivity and on value creation. It is undeniable that this rhythm of change enhanced the awareness of most business man (decision makers) about the potential effect of digital
transformation on their businesses and society, which address many challenges, mainly: driving cultural change, bridging the digital skills gap across workforce levels, changing customer expectations, data privacy and security – maximizing the return on upcoming investments. However, all these benefits come with the cost of increasing threats, especially when organization’s activity deeply rely on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Therefore, as more smart devices will be available in digital world due the advancement of the IoT, more and more serious security, privacy, and connectivity service provisioning and data storage challenges will arise. In developed regions, IoT has already stepped out of its infancy and it has been earmarked as the key driver of Industry revolution 4.0 as well as of the Future Internet. The use of new technologies, the increase use of the Internet and the emergence of the Internet-enabled services has promoted a growing interest in the continuously deployment of information security management, in order to ensure the reliability of the organizational information systems.
This special session provides a forum for researchers and practitioners to discus practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the scope of Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity and all related issues.
